Abstract

The authors of the collective monograph "Identity Politics in US National Elections," edited by Tauna S. Sisco, Jennifer C. Lucas, and Christopher J. Galdieri, focus on the correlation between identity politics and electoral processes in the United States in 2020. The research comprises eight separate studies focusing on aspects of identity such as race, gender, age, culture, and value orientations. The authors use both theoretical and empirical methods to provide a comprehensive explanation for why identity politics has become a key element of voting behavior in the United States. This collective monograph was produced as a result of the 2020 American Election Symposium.
