Abstract

The book by scholars from Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), “Cities of Migration: Understanding the Diversity of Urban Diversity in Europe,” published in 2025 by Springer Cham, is the result of an in-depth analysis of the development of European cities influenced by migration processes. The work has both theoretical and practical value. The authors propose their methodology for analyzing urban migration policy, which can later be applied on a broader geographical scale. The practical significance lies in the possibility of integrating the results into the institutions of political governance and urban development. The book may be of interest to sociologists, political scientists, historians, as well as all those who are interested in migration issues in the modern world.
