Abstract

Information and communication technologies (ICT) have objectively become the transforming factor in the development of the economy, politics, security, and international relations. Nowadays, the world community pays close attention to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. In light of modern technological advances in artificial intelligence, researchers are more focused on identifying the impact of AI technology on states' domestic and foreign policies, international relations, and world politics. Moreover, they are interested in the possibilities and consequences of AI's application as a new tool. While most of the earlier studies tended to focus on the technological side, the last few years saw the emergence of many publications within specific scientific disciplines where the influence of artificial intelligence is possible. The purpose of this article is to review academic research in which the authors question what international political consequences and threats AI technologies are already leading to and will lead to in the future. Publications written in 2023-2024 are analyzed, in which AI technologies are not considered through a technological prism, but through a political one. This review article uses the comparative narrative method to analyze the literature.
