Abstract

The article analyzes the technical revolution in the German theater of 1800–1840, considered as a synthesis of art and technology in the era of Romanticism. The study demonstrates the rapid development of the German stage at the beginning of the 19th century in the field of set design, machinery, lighting and acoustics. The novelty of the work lies in the comprehensive consideration of the architectural, technical and organizational reforms that determined the formation of the German theater as the leader of the European theatrical process. The relevance of the research is related to the interest in historical models of technology integration into art and their influence on the formation of artistic integrity.
