Abstract

The article examines the features of the chronotope in the novel by the modern British writer A. Thorpe “Rules of Perspective” (2005). Two key storylines are commented in detail, each of which has its own system of images and a special time dimension. The observation is made that although all the lines have a common location - the building of the city's Kaiser Wilhelm Museum, each character retains an individual perception of the space and time of his life in the context of wartime in which the action takes place.
