Abstract

The article is devoted to Martin Eden's writing technique. His writer's opuses were analyzed in the context of the character’s dynamics. It reached the conclusions concerning the costs of writing in society, the physical and mental costs in the process of working on a piece in the absence of decent wages for labour, faith and understanding by relatives, popularity and superficial understanding of works on the part of readers focusing exceptionally on the acquired status.
