Abstract

The article examines one of the latest works by Julian Barnes “The Noise of Time”. It studies the relations between the noise and the music from the point of view of conceptoligical analysis. The concept sound is predominant and it unites noise and music as microconcepts. Each of them has a number of characteristics. They are opposed to each other, and at the same time – interrelated.
