Abstract

The study analyzes the concept of the "moon" in the poetics of Jurgis Kazimirovich Baltrushaitis using the example of poems from various collections of this author, where the image of the "moon" occurs. The research methodology is based on the theory of conceptual integrations developed by M. Turner and J. Fauconnier. The view on the structure of the concept was adopted from the research of I. A. Sternin and Z. D. Popova. The subject of the analysis were poems from the author's collections: "Earthly steps" and "Mountain Path". As a result of the research, such elements of the concept were identified as: magic, relativity, instrumentality, borderline, duality. The structure of the concept: the core is duality, the periphery is relativity, instrumentality, borderline; the intermediate position is occupied by "magic". In the interpretative field, it was possible to identify the evaluative and regulatory zones.
