Prospects of oil and gas potential of the upper devonian-tournaisian carbonate complex of the Bym-Kungur monocline

Abstract

The article presents the geochemical characteristics of the Upper Devonian-Tournaisian carbonate complex of the Bym-Kungur monocline. On the basis of weighted average values of geochemical parameters, maps of the distribution of organic carbon, chloroform bitumoid, and bitumoid coefficient in the Upper Devonian-Tournaisian sediments were constructed. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that the Upper Devonian-Tournaisian carbonate complex has a high oil and gas potential.
