Abstract

The kimberlite origin of the placer diamonds in the Urals is stated. The conception of Cenozoic diamond placers forming in paleovallyes of the western slope of the Urals is suggested. They were originated due to re-washing of the Devonian or Silurian intermediate collectors. The prospecting criteria for prognostication of placers are offered.
