The mineralogical and geochemical features of bottom sediments and waters of the Chisvador-ty karst lake, located in the zone of Lower Permian rocks in the Southern Timan, are characterized. The results obtained make it possible to specify the processes of modern continental carbonate mineral formation in an aqueous medium of sulphate-calcium composition. The mineral composition of lake mud is presented by dominated calcite of various morphological types, authigenic pyrite, quartz, dolomite, gypsum as well as allogenic quartz, albite, and potassium feldspar. The Chisvador-ty deposits are characterized by a relatively high content of amorphous phases.Downloads
