ОПРАВДАНИЕ ДЖОНА ЛОККА: «НАТУРАЛИЗАЦИЯ» БРИТАНСКОГО ИМПЕРИАЛИЗМА?

Статья посвящена проблеме переоценки интеллектуального наследия Джона Локка. Разоблачение «Мифа о Данном» в традиции эмпирической философии, реконструкция политического контекста создания «Двух трактатов о правлении», а также критика со стороны историков-постколониалистов во второй половине ХХ в. поставили под сомнение авторитет философа. В статье проанализированы существующие в зарубежной и отечественной историографии традиции обвинения и защиты Дж. Локка. Традиция обвинения связана с такими фактами биографии Локка, как участие в написании Конституции Каролины (1669) и владения некоторыми территориями этой колонии, близость к Энтони Эшли Куперу, третьему графу Шефтсбери, а также обстоятельствам так называемого «кризиса исключения». Однако наибольший резонанс вызывает логика аргументации принципа гомстеда, изложенная в «Двух трактатах о правлении». Традиция защиты стремится учитывать комплексный характер биографии Локка и интеллектуального контекста его сочинений. Автор обращает внимание на актуализацию в работах историков последнего десятилетия профессионального опыта Локка в сфере медицины. Глубокие познания в естественной истории и многолетняя врачебная практика не только оказывали влияние на этический портрет философа, но и определяли его логику аргументации. Излюбленной стратегией подкрепления своих воззрений у Локка оказывается натурализация – «оестествление» социальных отношений и обращение за примерами и доказательствами к природным феноменам. Новизна исследования определяется также тем, что дискурс оправдания Дж. Локка рассмотрен с точки зрения эмоциональной рефлексии профессиональных историков и общего кризиса исторического сознания, попытки разрешения которого воплотились в понятии «прошедшего прошлого».Библиографические ссылки
