ACTUALIZATION OF NEGATIVE NARRATIVE DEMONSTRATIVE TONALITY IN PERSONAL DISCOURSE

Abstract

The narrative is the main way of describing oneself in the context of one's own life, by which the speaker objectifies his subjectivity with the help of communicative demonstratives. The main aspect of the negative demonstrativeness is the verbalization of psychological disharmony functioning in dialogical communication and monological statements of communicants during the periods of age crises. The article is devoted to the linguistic realization of negative communicative demonstrativeness in a personality-oriented discourse. The purpose of the study is to reveal the concept of the negative narrative communicative demonstrativeness, to identify the means of its expression and functions in personal discourse. In the process of work, an interdisciplinary approach and a method of psycholinguistic analysis of the communicants' speech production are used. The material for identifying the linguistic means of actualizing negative narrative communicative demonstrativeness are the statements of literary heroes from the works of Russian classics. As a result of the conducted research, it is established that the negative narrative communicative demonstrativeness is an emotional and stylistic form of communication characterized by the presentation of a negative image by the speaker in a story about himself, exaggeration of its significance, accentuation of the dominant destructive emotion expressed by means of semiotic polymodality. The analysis of the speech of literary heroes showed the following means of expression of this tonal variety: pejorative hyperbolic tropes (antithesis, metaphor, epithets), abstract nouns and clichéd phrases-constatives with negative connotation, obscene lexemes marked contempt, exclamation sentences-addresses, syntactic parallelism, a chain of rhetorical questions and a speech strategy of self-deprecation. It is determined that in personal discourse, the negative narrative communicative demonstrativeness performs the functions of negative affective self-reflection.
