The relevance of the work is due to two factors: theoretical and practical. The theoretical factor is manifested in the increasing popularity of paremiological research both within the framework of a single language and in cross-cultural comparisons. To confirm this hypothesis, we selected the article by H. S. Munoz "La Variación En Las Paremias Del Eapañol de España y de México", which touches on the topic of diatopic variability of Spanish language paremias in two countries: Spain and Mexico, and also tells about the history of research in the field of geoparemiology. The material of the selected article will be useful for anyone interested in paroemias, as it contains an up-to-date comparative analysis of Spanish paroemias with explanations of the reasons for their variability. The principle of construction of this work can be applied to conduct similar research in the Russian language. The practical relevance lies in the development of a new approach to the search and subsequent work with translation difficulties – modeling the semantic field. This method helps to systematize the units of a foreign language based on semantic connections, and since their installation is impossible without a preliminary definitional analysis, it helps to better understand the structure of the described terminology and improve the quality of translation.
