The study of conflicts and linguistic conflict, the specifics of the conflict of statements, is necessary from the point of view of social security of modern Russian society. This article is devoted to the definition of the category of linguistic conflict, as well as to the study of the causes of conflict interaction between the subjects of communication. The study presents different points of view of classics and modern researchers on the definitions of such concepts as conflict, types and types of conflicts, the influence of various factors on speech behavior in conflict situations. Among the many questions that arise when discussing conflict issues, one of the least clear is the question of the factors that are important for its occurrence and course.
