Abstract

Thearticle is analyzed the featuresanddifficulties of translating the genre of verlibrainmigrationliteratureintoRussian. The authorsexplorelinguisticmeansandtechniquesreflecting the theme of migrationinEnglish-language poetryandways of theirtransmissionintoRussian. The genre of verlibra,despitethelack of rhyme,belongstopoetry,itscontentandstructure are identical to a conventionalpoem.Poetictranslationisacomplextask,andincombinationwith the multidimensionaltheme of migration, the complexity of translationincreases,due to multipleinterpretationsdependingon the personality,creativethinkingandpersonalexperience of the translator.Thistype of translationcreates an internalconflict. On theonehand, the translator's taskis to completelyrecreate the originaltext:from the styleandintonationpatternto the extralinguisticcomponents. On theotherhand,modernconceptssuggest the possibility of expressing one's own “I”wheninterpreting a poetictext in ordertobuild a dialoguewith the targetaudience,whichmakesitmorecreativeandfree.
