The aim of this paper is to identify and describe the interactions between the categories of taxis and consequentiality, which form the consequential-taxis semantic subcomplex, and to analyze their implementation in various languages. The subject of this study is the actualization of the categorical meanings of consequential taxis in Russian, German and English utterances. The object of analysis is polycategorial semantic subcomplexes that implement consequential-taxis meanings. This paper examines the concept of a categorial semantic complex as a set of semantic categories united by a common goal: the actualization of meanings arising at the intersection of several categories. A taxis semantic complex is defined as a set of linguistic means expressing chronologial relations of simultaneity/non-simultaneity and actualizing taxis categorial semantics. Particular attention is given to polycategorial semantic subcomplexes formed through the interaction of taxis with other functional-semantic categories. The study focuses on consequential taxis – a phenomenon in which the meaning of consequence (consecution) is intertwined with taxis meanings, indicating that one action is a consequence of another. Various means of expressing consequential taxis are analyzed, including prepositions, conjunctions, and contextual indications of cause and effect. It is emphasized that consequential taxis is characterized by a close relationship between the categories of taxis and consequentiality, which are in a relationship of intercategorial inclusion.Downloads
