Psychological introspection in 21st century: Historical tendencies and methodological phenomena

Abstract

The article outlines several historical and methodological dynamic scopes of introspection in psychology. Introspective applications in modern psychology (AD 2000-2010) are examined. Narrative introspection introduced as phenomenon emerging at the border of reflective psychological essays and methodology of discourse analysis. Immanent reflexiveness and transcendental intersubjectivity are defined as philosophical premises of the narrative introspection.
