The article is dedicated to the overall analysis of the totality of spiritual practices which are connected with understanding and interpretation of biblical texts during the Middle Ages. Medieval exegesis is critically compared with Jacques Derrida’s deconstructive criticism. Research results make it possible, on the one hand, to single out the source of deconstructive practice, and on the other hand, they point out close relations between mutually exclusive ways of interpretation and understanding of the biblical texts.References
