Abstract

The results of studying the nature, composition and properties of Quaternary sediments of the Gydan cryolithozone, which will serve as a reliable basis for the construction and subsequent reliable safe operation of critical engineering structures in the complex and heterogeneous geological environment of the Arctic cryolithozone, are discussed. The materials of a comprehensive engineering and geological study of soils will form the basis of a database for regional monitoring of the natural state and dynamics of man-made transformation of the geological environment of the cryolithozone for forecasting, assessing and reducing risks for the sustainable development of the territory.
