ФИНАНСОВЫЕ БУРИ НА ТИХОМ ОКЕАНЕ: СОПЕРНИЧЕСТВО США И ЯПОНИИ В БАНКОВСКОЙ СФЕРЕ (1970–2020 ГОДЫ)

Аннотация

В работе на полувековом историческом интервале (от начала 1970-х гг. до настоящего времени) прослеживается развитие одного из ключевых аспектов в политических и экономических отношениях США и Японии – конкуренции между банковскими системами названных стран. Особое внимание именно к этой паре финансовых сил объясняется их лидирующим положением в глобальной банковской отрасли на протяжении многих десятилетий. Основой для исследования послужили 50-летние ряды статистических данных, а также национальное законодательство, материалы прессы и мемуарная литература. Показано, что еще сохранявшееся к началу 1970-х гг. банковское лидерство США выглядело все менее прочным в условиях стремительного наступления японских финансовых групп (которое, в свою очередь, опиралось на промышленные достижения времен «японского экономического чуда»). В 1970–1980-е гг. Япония не просто обошла США по банковским показателям, но и стала новой отраслевой доминантой. Однако в следующие два десятилетия на фоне общего торможения японской экономики кредитно-финансовое лидерство вновь перешло к США. В обеих странах эти драматические развороты сопровождались глубоким реформированием национальных банковских систем (при несомненном сходстве в хронологии и направленности преобразований). Вскоре после мирового экономического кризиса 2008–2009 гг. схожие по методам регулирования и тесно связанные банковские сообщества США и Японии вышли на относительно плавные траектории при сопоставимых показателях; однако теперь обе страны заметно отстают от новой отраслевой сверхдержавы в лице Китая.
