Abstract

The article considers the problem of the scientist's verbal individuality, manifested in the scientific text generation. Verbal individuality is understood as a complex phenomenon that requires systematic study in accordance with the integral characteristic of the personality. The verbal individuality formation is influenced by factors such as the scientist's cognitive style, the objective or subjective nature of explication, the author's language competence, etc. The individual style study begins with a general, intuitive approach to the scientific text through the analysis of text categories to identify language units functional and semantic features.
