Abstract

In modern Russian literature, there is an increasing interest in the image of the East. Based on the material of V. Sorokin's Novella "Day of the Oprichnik ", the article analyzes the features of the use of images of Chinese culture in postmodern literature, as well as genres and styles characteristic of old Russian literature.
