Abstract

Traditions and character of Pushkin in the Chinese poetry of the 1940s-1990s have been considered in the article. The author identifies the stages of Pushkin’s heritage interpretation in the Chinese culture and emphasizes the influence of the Russian classic on the idea content and form of the Chinese lyric poetry. The process of Pushkin’s creative heritage adoption by the Chinese literature of the XX century was expressed in the expanded themes and in the mastering of different aspects of Pushkin’s poetry (civil, political, landscape, amorous and philosophic problems), and Pushkin himself was becoming the participant of the lyric hero’s dialogue with the intelligent reader for the Chinese poets.It has been concluded that the personality of the Russian poet became the symbol of the Chinese writers’ struggle with the power and the example of the service to the people.
