Abstract

The problems of negative localization in the simple subject-predicative sentence have been considered in the article. Negative position has been studied in the context of syntax, semantics and stylistics. The distinctive feature of this article is that the authors reveal and analyze the factors influencing the negative position and show the conditions and possibilities of its different placing in the sentence. At the same time changes in the semantic and logical orientation of the statement are revealed. Considering a simple sentence with a verb predicate the authors reveal the regularities associated with the negative placement, showing both the alternative positions and also identifying non-alternative options that do not always fit into the formal syntactic structure of the sentence. Analyzing each factor which influences the choice of the negative position the authors present and describes the examples from the practical Chinese language, providing them with comments and explanations.
