THE SEMANTIC FIELD "PAREMIOLOGÍA" IN THE TRANSLATION OF THE ARTICLE BY J. SEVILLA MUÑOZ "LAVARIACIÓN EN LAS PAREMIAS DEL ESPAÑOL DE ESPAÑA Y DE MÉXICO"

Abstract

The method of modeling the semantic field is considered by scientists as a way of categorizing linguistic knowledge, which helps to visualize the semantic connections between different groups of words, expressions and even whole sentences of a certain language. However, it is assumed that the method of modeling the semantic field may be relevant not only for learning one language, but also for conducting a cross-cultural analysis of a certain terminosphere of several languages, as well as for identifying potential translation difficulties. To confirm this hypothesis, we selected an article by J. Sevilla Muñoz "La variación en las paremias del español de España y de México", which touches on the topic of diatopic variation of Spanish language paremias in two countries: Spain and Mexico. The article by J. Sevilla Muñoz also examines the history of research in the field of geoparemiology. It should be noted that most of the analyzed articles date back to the end of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century, which indicates the popularity of conducting such studies nowadays. As a result of the analysis of the terminological system in the work of J. Sevilla Muñoz. The author of this article modeled the semantic field of the name "Paremiología", which became part of the pre-translation analysis of the text. In the process of translation, the author of this article relied on established semantic links. This contributed to the selection of a more adequate translation for each concept in the paremiological terminosphere of the Spanish language. As a result of the translation, the field of the name "Paremiology" was modeled already in Russian.
