This papers presents the principles and technology for designing a listening course of standard modern Russian as L2 based on spontaneous speech for Malian francophone advanced students majoring in Russian. The study adopts anthropocentric approach and uses the phonetic method and modeling. The obtained result is the content of the course represented by 5 thematic blocks (family, sports, education, national cuisines and favorite dishes, traveling) with pre-listening exercises (keywords, proper names, phonetic exercises), after-listening questions, grammar, vocabulary and communicative exercises. While performing the tasks, learners build the information carcass as well as lexical and grammar patterns, acquire authentic phonetic images of words that are close to the most natural speech (with both canonical and non-canonical patterns). At the after-listening stage, students form the skills of fitting the vocabulary into the appropriate context, make synonymic and antonymic links with the studied keywords, learn prepositional patterns, etc. Besides, students learn to act on the part of different people when they perform role retellings and dialogues. This makes the process of acquiring the necessary competences a personal coloring, boosts motivation and satisfaction from the obtained result.Downloads
