Geodynamic Landscapes аnd Mineragenic Regularities (Diamonds, Gold, Hydrocarbons)

Abstract

This article is devoted to the development of a new geodynamic approach to predicting diamond, gold, and hydrocarbon deposits. It is based on the concept of a “geodynamic landscape” as an integrated system reflecting the interaction of deep and surface processes. A set of methods has been developed and applied, including landscape-geodynamic and lineament-geodynamic analysis. The study demonstrates that the largest mineral accumulations are consistently associated with lineament intersections and ring-shaped landscape anomalies. The relationship between each resource type and specific geodynamic scenarios is demonstrated, for example, diamonds, with the activation of cratons by mantle plumes.
