Abstract

This article is devoted to the development of a new geodynamic approach to predicting diamond, gold, and hydrocarbon deposits. It is based on the concept of a “geodynamic landscape” as an integrated system reflecting the interaction of deep and surface processes. A set of methods has been developed and applied, including landscape-geodynamic and lineament-geodynamic analysis. The study demonstrates that the largest mineral accumulations are consistently associated with lineament intersections and ring-shaped landscape anomalies. The relationship between each resource type and specific geodynamic scenarios is demonstrated, for example, diamonds, with the activation of cratons by mantle plumes. The resulting patterns are confirmed using examples from the world’s largest provinces. This work lays the foundation for a fundamentally new, cause-and-effect model of predictive minerageny
