https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8656

The article presents new information about the life of the writer Olga Aleksandrovna Volkonskaya and raises the question of the place in the history of Russian emigrant literature of her novel “Los emigrados” (in the Russian version – “Russian Parisians”). The absence of a Russian translation of the Argentine version of the work and the completed author’s version of the Russian edition allows, at the first stage of study, to outline only some vectors in the movement of the author's plan, to identify the most obvious stylistic features of Volkonskaya’s prose. A preliminary analysis of the text shows that Volkonskaya’s novel can be classified as a family novel; it is included in the formation of the Parisian text of the Russian emigration, and the style-forming beginning of some of her works is pronounced journalisticism.
Z.S. 2023-12-292023-12-292410CHRISTMAS IN THE LYRICS OF A. PARKAU
https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8657

The article analyzes the lyrics of A. Parkau, dedicated to the theme of Christmas. The theme of Christmas in her poems is connected with Russia and with the memories of childhood. Memories of this holiday are saturated with tactile, color, auditory and visual details that correlate with other images of the past. The events of later life, presented through a “kaleidoscope” of fragmentary details, “shining through” time and distance, which contributed to overcoming pain and suffering, enhanced the perception of the beauty of the holiday. Spiritual experiences of the poetess, images filled with transcendental meaning conveyed the desire to escape from real suffering and forget about the hardships of everyday life.
Gao Chunyu

https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8658

The article analyzes the process of transformation of the classical narrative model “about the lost worlds” in the short novel of I.S. Lukash “The Green Island”. Against the background of the general principles of the narrative “about the lost worlds” – the image of the “lost world” as an inaccessible and closed space from people, opposed to the rest of the world; the presence of heroes-travelers discovering the “lost land”; the presence of fantastic elements in the narrative, the features of the topos of the “lost world” in the work of I.S. Lukash are revealed. The specific features of the story include: a combination of elements of science fiction and adventurous philosophical narrative, the presence of elements of poetics of romanticism, the disclosure of the psychology of the characters through their interaction with the space of the “Green Island”. Conclusions are drawn about the philosophical content of the plot of the hero’s journey to the “lost world”.
U.N. Kalimullina

2023-12-292023-12-2923340IMAGES OF RUSSIA AND FRANCE IN THE CYCLE “STORIES IN EXILE” N.N. BERBEROVA
https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8660

The article is devoted to the analysis of images of Russia and France – key spaces depicted in the collection of N.N. Berberova “Stories in Exile”. The features of the traditional image of Russia and Paris for emigrant prose are highlighted. The close connection between the image of Russia and the motif of memory is emphasized. Russia in the minds of the heroes is idealized, endowed with the features of works of Russian classics. The connection between the image of Russia and the literary tradition of the 19th century is described. The image of France is associated with the motif of a lost dream. N.N. Berberova adheres to the concept traditional for the literature of Russian emigration in depicting Paris – this is a city that does not accept immigrants and does not correspond to their idealistic ideas. In the later stories of the “Stories in Exile” series, spatial boundaries expand: the heroes travel to Venice and Stockholm, and emigrate to America. Thus, the escape motif intensifies.
E.V. 2023-12-292023-12-2926573BETWEEN A SONGBOOK AND A COLLECTION OF SPIRITUAL POEMS: ABOUT TWO HANDWRITTEN NOTEBOOKS FROM THE KOMI-PERMYAK DISTRICT
https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8685

The article describes two handwritten collections belonging to ritual specialists from the Russian d. The fire of the Yurlinsky district and the Komi-Permyak village of Kukushka in the Kochevsky district of the Perm Territory. One of the collections is a rather peculiar case for the Yurlin-Nomadic manuscript tradition: it includes not only spiritual poems, but also song forms - ditties, wedding and calendar songs. The second collection consists of a collection of spiritual poems and a songbook. A possible reason for the appearance of such “combined” assemblies is the ensemble-stage and ritualceremonial activities of their owners. The paper describes the features of the functioning of these handwritten notebooks, presents the corpus of spiritual poems found in them in the form of an incipit list, and provides parallels from other handwritten collections existing on the Yurlinsky-Nomadic borderland.
M.A. Tikhonova

https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8686

The names of dog breeds that function in the Chinese language are considered. The purpose of the study is to identify the motivational characteristics underlying these units. The analysis allows us to establish that the most frequent motivation is based on the place where the breed was bred; motivation based on the dog’s appearance and functional motivation are relatively common (at the same time, the greatest variety of motivational signs is observed when motivated by features of external appearance). Types of motivation based on the character and behavior of the dog and the name of the breeder are rare. The data obtained indicate the anthropocentric nature of the worldview of Chinese speakers. At the same time, the studied nominations are largely characterized by multiple motivations, one of the reasons for which is the widespread occurrence of homonymy and polysemy in the Chinese language.
M.A. GranovaA.A. https://press.psu.ru/index.php/fXXI/article/view/8687

The paper presents a lexicographic description of the definition of the lexeme GLOBALIZATION, which is the core of the political lexical sphere of the modern Japanese language. The research material was the data of the dictionary definition in the following dictionaries: five explanatory dictionaries, dictionary of foreign words, political dictionary, specialized dictionary (glossary of healthcare). By the method of component analysis, semantic components that make up the semantic field of the lexeme under study are identified in the dictionary definitions. This made it possible to determine the structure of this lexeme, which has a core, which includes important, mandatory semantic components of the word, naming the definition; a pre-core zone describing more detailed concepts of the multidimensional process of globalization; the periphery, which shows narrower spheres affected by globalization. The analysis showed that the semantic components isolated in the pre-core zone and in the periphery are quite close to the component in the core and are also important for the characterization of the lexeme.
Yu.V.
