Abstract

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of a genre of existentialistic novel in English literature. One of the main representatives was the writer and philosopher Colin Wilson. C. Wilson speaks about new understanding of freedom which consists of expansion and deepening of consciousness by various methods of psychoanalysis, psychotherapy and meditation.
