Abstract

Currently, the family in the conditions of global modernization, structural changes in society, the lack of sustainable social development of society takes new forms and, therefore, needs to be studied from new positions. A large number of works are devoted to the family as a special sphere of social being, its problems, family relationships, roles within the family. In recent decades, more and more attention has been paid to the young family as a special category, but both in the context of the young family and in the issue of studying the problems of women and children, young mothers have very rarely been singled out as a separate subject of study. It is the modern young family that is most unstable, and it is the family that feels the social cataclysms more than any other family. And a young mother with a child is certainly a form of young family. And it is extremely important to determine the social status of such a family. For this purpose several of the most significant indicators are highlighted: the level of education, the nature of employment, income, housing, prospects, and leisure time. Unfortunately, a young mother and her child are rarely independent from the immediate environment and parental family due to their age and lack of life experience. Currently there are centers of assistance to women in difficult life situations, they help young mothers to take their place in the modern society and bring up their child as a worthy member of it.
